Our Sourcing Standards
Every stone we use meets our ethical sourcing standards: conflict-free, traceable where possible, and from suppliers we trust. We don’t compromise on provenance. Whether you’re in our NYC studio or working with us remotely, we’ll outline what documentation we can provide for your stones, certificates, origin, treatment, so you know exactly what you’re getting.
Diamonds: Natural & Lab-Grown
We source both natural and lab-grown diamonds. Natural diamonds come from suppliers who adhere to the Kimberley Process and who can provide conflict-free assurance; we can supply GIA, IGI or other certificates when we source certified material. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically and optically the same as natural, with a traceable supply chain and often a lower environmental footprint. We’re happy to discuss both options during your trade briefing, no pressure either way.
Coloured Gemstones
Sapphires (blue and fancy colours), rubies, emeralds, aquamarine, morganite, tourmaline, tanzanite and other stones are sourced from reputable dealers with transparent supply chains. We advise on origin, treatment (e.g. heated vs unheated) and durability so each finished SKU meets commercial wear standards. Coloured stones often define a trade order; we source to your approved design and materials spec.
How We Work With You
After your design is approved, we source stones to fit the CAD dimensions and your budget. We’ll present options (with photos and specs) and order once you’re satisfied. Stones are then set by our in-house stone setting team and inspected before finishing. If you already have a stone, an heirloom diamond or a stone you’ve purchased elsewhere, we can design around it and set it in your new piece.
Documentation
We provide certificates and documentation when applicable. That can include diamond grading reports (e.g. GIA, IGI), origin information for coloured stones, and treatment disclosure. Your finished piece can be accompanied by the paperwork you need for insurance, resale or peace of mind. NYC clients often keep these with their jewellery insurance; we’re happy to provide whatever fits your situation.
