OUR PROCESS

From first brief to delivery-ready finish, a clear, documented workflow. Every trade programme at Kismet Jewels NYC follows the same path: briefing, design approval, prototype, manufacture, and final QC. In the Diamond District we execute your approved specs through our specialized team.

From Concept to Creation

We keep the process transparent and accountable. You work with our specialized team from briefing through sign-off, with a single programme owner. Whether you visit us in person at 37 W 47th St or connect by video, you get the same engineering detail and direct line to the people running your line. Here’s how it works.

1. Project brief & specification

We begin with a briefing, in person at our NYC Diamond District studio or by video call. We align on line intent, commercial timeline, budget and QC expectations. Share sketches, tech packs, reference photos or a written brief; we translate them into a manufacturable direction. Local partners often review samples in studio; we can also run the programme entirely remotely. This step is a complimentary intro trade briefing with no obligation to place an order.

2. CAD Design & Approval

Our designers build a precise 3D CAD model against your approved brief. You receive renderings and, when needed, a physical wax or resin prototype to validate proportions before casting. Many partners review the prototype in studio or by shipped sample. We include one round of design revisions after your first preview; further revisions can be quoted.

3. Design Preview (Optional)

If you want extra assurance, we can share a finished design preview by photo or video before production begins. Many partners approve from CAD and prototype alone; others prefer this final gate. We accommodate either approach.

4. Casting & Metal Fabrication

Units are cast in the specified metal, gold, platinum or silver, in our NYC studio. We refine metalwork and prepare for stone setting. Casting and fabrication stay in-house for QC. When you choose materials and we source ethical stones and metals, everything is tracked and documented for your records.

5. Stone Setting & Hand Finishing

Diamonds and gemstones are set by hand. We offer prong, pavé, bezel, channel and other settings. After setting, each unit is polished and finished to the agreed standard: high shine, satin or matte. Every unit is inspected before it leaves our atelier, against the signed-off master and checklist.

6. Final QC & Handover

We provide documentation for stones and metals where applicable. Finished goods ship with final documentation and QC sign-off. NYC partners can collect in person or arrange secure courier based on programme terms.

Timeline

From approved design to finished goods, most programmes take 2–5 weeks depending on complexity and stone sourcing. Simpler lines may be ready in 2–5 weeks; intricate or stone-heavy runs can take longer. We’ll give you a clear timeline after your initial briefing and keep you updated if anything shifts. Rushing fine jewellery rarely improves yield; we set expectations honestly and deliver on them.

What to Send for Your Briefing

You don’t need a full tech pack on day one, but these accelerate quoting:

When you visit our NYC studio, you can review material samples and benchmark pieces so finish and weight land where you expect.

What We Share During Production
