JEWELLERY CASTING

Professional gold, platinum and silver casting in our NYC atelier. From your approved prototype or model to a precise metal form, we cast in-house so quality and timing stay in our hands, and yours.

Lost-Wax Casting

We use the lost-wax (investment) method: a wax or resin pattern is invested in a refractory mould, the wax is burned out, and molten metal is poured into the cavity. The result is a metal copy of your design, ready for cleanup, stone setting and finishing. This is the same technique used for fine jewellery worldwide; we run it through our specialized team in the Diamond District so every step is controlled.

Metals We Cast

We cast in gold (14K, 18K, 22K in yellow, white and rose), platinum and sterling silver. Alloys and karats are chosen for durability and colour; we’ll guide you on materials during your trade briefing. We source metal from trusted refiners and support recycled and reclaimed options when you want to reduce environmental impact.

From One Piece to Production

Whether you need a single trade order or a small run for a collection, we cast in batches that match your project. One-off commissions get the same care as larger orders. We don’t outsource casting: it happens in our studio, so we can fix issues on the spot and keep your timeline predictable. Most pieces move from casting to setting and finishing within our typical 6–8 week window.

Quality Control

After casting we inspect each piece for porosity, completeness and accuracy. We clean up sprues and rough areas before passing to the setting bench. If anything doesn’t meet our standards, we recast, we’d rather get it right than ship a compromise. When you commission from Kismet Jewels, the metal that leaves our atelier is the metal you’ll wear.

Why In-House Casting

Keeping casting in-house means no shipping wax or metal to an outside caster, no waiting on someone else’s queue, and no miscommunication. You have one point of contact from CAD to delivery. For NYC clients, that often means visiting the studio to see progress; for everyone, it means a clearer, more reliable process. Get in touch to start your project.
